tupe issues
When a business is bought or sold, or a contract to provide services is lost or won, there are usually implications for employees. The Transfer of Undertakings (Protection of Employment) Regulations (TUPE) protect the terms and conditions of employment of staff who are facing such situations – automatically transferring their rights and obligations from one business to another. TUPE regulations may also impose a duty to inform and consult with employees regarding the transfer.
Working closely with our colleagues in the Company Commercial team, our TUPE solicitors can advise on the implications of any business transaction – giving you peace of mind that the best interests of your company and your employees are being taken care of.
