We successfully defended a claim against a member of staff at a high profile brokerage firm. They successfully argued that the staff member had effectively been constructively dismissed, meaning he was no longer bound by the terms of his contract. Both claims were withdrawn and no damages were paid by either side.
We have successfully defended a complex constructive dismissal case valued at around £200,000 on behalf of a large telecoms firm. The case involved issues relating to unfair prejudice on a minority shareholder and the enforcement of a put and call option.
We offered advice to a musical equipment firm following the sacking of an employee caught stealing from his bosses. We provided advice on various employment matters in relation to the sophisticated fraud, which went on for several years. The case also involved staff from the commercial litigation department who helped recover the cash stolen.
