Corporate Senior Associate/Partner
The role
This is an excellent opportunity for a solicitor to join a busy corporate department. For the right candidate this role has prospects of partnership in a successful and profitable law firm with an excellent client base.
Our corporate team deals with a wide range of clients including SMEs, entrepreneurs, family-owned businesses, charitable and not-for-profit organisations. We provide a wide range of services including the sale and purchase of businesses and companies, shareholder agreements, advising directors, and drafting/advising on a variety of commercial agreements for use in day-to-day business.
The successful candidate will work with the corporate team (and other departments on certain transactions) to deliver high-quality legal services and contribute to the growth and development of the department. It is envisaged that there will be an existing caseload and an excellent opportunity to develop and run their own caseload.
Key skills
The successful candidate will be able to manage their own case load whilst assisting other fee-earners and partners in providing advice to the firm’s clients.
The candidate must have excellent communication and IT skills and the ability to develop positive relationships with a strong focus on marketing and networking for business development.
Department specific
By joining the corporate team you will have a varied case load of running client matters including:
- Sale and purchase of businesses and companies
- Shareholder advice and restructuring
- Employee share option schemes
- Commercial agreements
- General commercial advice
Experience
This is a senior role and best suited to a solicitor with a minimum of 8 years’ experience. However, less experienced candidates who can prove they have the skills and qualities needed will certainly be considered.
