  • Employment contracts
    As an employee you are entitled to receive a statement of employment particulars, more commonly known as an Employment Contract, from your employer within two months of commencing employment. If you have been offered an Employment Contract or Director’s Service Agreement, then we can provide suitable advice, to give you a full and clear understanding of your contractual rights and obligations.
  • Disciplinary and performance
    There may be times at work when your performance is not reaching the level expected by your employer, or there are concerns regarding your conduct. But you may feel this is unjustified and so be in need of advice and guidance. Our Employment Law team will support you through any disciplinary or performance improvement plan, to ensure you can respond with confidence. We will also consider your overall objectives and devise a strategy to help you achieve these.
  • Employment Tribunal claims
    If you have been dismissed or treated unfairly at work, then you may be able to claim for compensation through an Employment Tribunal. We are highly experienced in dealing with Tribunal claims for the entire range of employment issues - including unfair dismissal, discrimination and breach of contract – and can advise you on the merits of any claim, as well as representing you through the Tribunal. We appreciate that it can be a stressful time and will alleviate this by taking responsibility for the proceedings, to ensure your claim is handled effectively and efficiently.
  • Grievance
    If you are unhappy at work then it may be time to lodge a formal grievance. However, before you take this step, we can help you to consider how this may impact your career - and work with you to decide the best way to achieve a resolution to your problem.
  • Restrictive Covenants
    As an employee, you may have restrictive covenants in your employment contract or confidentiality agreement - which may attempt to restrict your ability to move to a competitor, or to start a new venture. We are highly experienced in advising individuals on the enforceability of restrictive covenants, and on the potential risks if they are breached.
  • A Settlement Agreement is a legally binding way of concluding claims or potential claims between an employer and an employee. If you have been informed that your employment is to come to an end, we appreciate that this can be a very difficult and stressful time for you.
