In September this year Marshall Amplification Plc celebrates 50 years of Loud. Celebrations of the Golden Anniversary are obviously tempered by the death of Jim Marshall earlier this year but the company lives on and grows from strength to strength.
In September 1962 Jim Marshall placed the first ever all valve Marshall guitar amplifier in the window of his tiny shop in London. Five decades later the Marshalls team still listen to what their customers need and still build quality amplifiers from Bletchley for a worldwide market.
Jimi Hendrix and Kurt Cobain are among the musicians who have used Marshall amplifiers and Paul Weller, former Jam and Style council frontman still uses a Marshall amp that is at least 40 years old and “still sounds fantastic”.
Geoffrey Leaver have been very pleased to work with Marshall Amplification Plc for many years and congratulate them on their Golden Anniversary. “Together, we are rocking the world”.
They will be celebrating at the Wembley Arena in September with a tribute concert.
