Accidents at Work
Your Opinion
Ian Hickson
Managing Director, Abbey Liftcare Limited
Work places are hazardous, with figures suggesting as many as nearly 300,000 reportable work related injuries in the 2007/2008 period.
All employers are legally obliged to assess the risks within the work place and to eliminate or minimise the risks. If you have suffered injury as a result of your employer failing to do so or you are injured through the fault of a fellow employee, you are entitled to claim compensation.
At Geoffrey Leaver Solicitors work accidents are only handled by very experienced solicitors who fully understand and can apply the relevant Statutory Regulations to your case. These Regulations are known as the “six pack” of Regulations and provide detailed duties on the part of the employer, contractors and employees in relation to safety at work.
