Restrictive Covenants

Protection of legitimate business interests is possible through the use of properly drafted restrictive covenants. Businesses can protect themselves from ex-employees taking unfair advantage of trade secrets and confidential information acquired during employment. This can include restrictions on their ability to work for their competitors.

We provide advice on the enforceability of existing restrictions or draft restrictions to fit your individual requirements. If the restrictions are too wide, then they are likely to be unenforceable and therefore individual tailoring is essential to get the protection you need.

We bring and defend proceedings in the County Court and High Court for breach of restrictive covenants, which will normally include an immediate application for an Injunction to stop any alleged breach.
