Getting Paid in Construction
Your Opinion
Ian Hickson
Managing Director, Abbey Liftcare Limited
One of the most important things to any business is getting paid for the work they do and the goods and services they provide.
As specialists in Construction Law we are able to advise clients on the rights and obligations under a contract and the law under the Housing Grants Construction and Regeneration Act concerning payment, the service of the required notices, the validity of withholding notices and the steps that can be taken to put clients in the best position to protect their interests.
If matters cannot be resolved amicably we advise and represent clients in adjudication proceedings and any subsequent enforcement proceedings in the Courts where a party is thought to be unlawfully withholding payment of money that is properly due and owing.
