Construction projects are notorious for disputes arising between the parties involving issues such as whether works constitute a variation that entitles payment of more money, whether works are defective, whether delays have been caused and if so who is responsible under the contract and what, if any, costs are recoverable and whether circumstances exist that entitles one party to bring the contract to an end.
