It is of fundamental importance to firstly choose the right procurement strategy and ensure that the obligations and risks under a construction project are clearly set out and understood by the use of the right contractual framework. Failure to get the contractual documentation right  at the outset increases the possibility of disputes and additional costs arising at a later date which can have a detrimental impact on the success of the project.

In particular, there are strict requirements for public sector contracts and the failure to follow them can leave a party exposed to a challenge that could result in the project being delayed and unwanted additional costs.

We are able to offer our clients advice and assistance with:

  • procurement strategies
  • the drafting and preparation of letters of intent and building contracts
  • drafting of deeds of appointment for consultants
  • drafting and preparation of sub-contracts
  • drafting of bonds and guarantees
  • drafting of collateral warranties
