Guy qualified as a solicitor in 1980 and was head of Commercial Litigation at Fennemores before joining us as Joint Head of our Dispute Resolution department in 2006.
He has advised clients on the resolution of business disputes for over 25 years. His cases mainly involve commercial contracts, technology, shareholder and partnership disputes, debt recovery, insolvency-related problems, professional negligence claims, financial services, intellectual property and other similar contentious cases.
Guy has acted for many litigants in the county courts, High Court, in the Court of Appeal, and in commercial arbitrations. His clients range from small businesses to large corporations and include banks, public bodies and institutions. He has a reputation for being a tough negotiator and fearlessly pursuing or defending the interests of his clients to achieve a just result. He accepts pro bono instructions in suitable cases.
He is a regular speaker and contributor to legal journals and publications on commercial litigation, arbitration and other issues concerning the resolution of disputes. Accredited as a mediator by CEDR (The Centre for Effective Dispute Resolution). A member of the Professional Negligence Lawyers Association.
