Rising claims in dentistry and cosmetic surgery

Despite the recession the dentistry and cosmetic procedures industries have shown continued growth. In two separate articles Anne Maguire reminds us that, just as in cases of medical negligence, dentists and those carrying out cosmetic procedures owe the patient a duty of care to exercise reasonable skill and care when treating them and should they fall below that standard and something goes wrong the patient might be able to claim compensation.
