The Partners and staff at Geoffrey Leaver recognise that business has a responsibility to the community it serves on a professional and a personal level.
We are committed to contributing to the local and business communities and also managing our firm responsibly taking into consideration the welfare of our staff and the environment. We feel that it is important to recognise the importance of contributing to our community and being aware of our surroundings.
Some of the ways in which we interact in our community are as follows:
- Partners are often trustees of Charities or Schools, and on the committees of local clubs, associations and church groups.
- We provide free legal advice to organisations such as the Citizens Advice Bureau, Age Concern, the Road Victim's Trust, Headway Milton Keynes and Willen Hospice Milton Keynes.
- We provide free advice and representation at inquests for bereaved families.
- We sponsor local Charities and individuals undertaking challenging activities to support charities.
- We get involved with schemes like Young Enterprise being run in schools.
- We promote recycling within in the firm, including non-confidential paper waste as well as plastic and cans.
We consider that it is important to be proactive and get involved to benefit our local communities, to improve the environment, to help those who are not always able to help themselves and to encourage a sense of collective responsibility.
